Bountiful is a lifestyle store that we really respond to. This is not a store for practicality, but it is a store that practically forces you to take a deep breath and relax.
Although the feeling does touch on west coast casual with bowls of starfish and sea shells giving a nod to the ocean, the real sense that we get while walking through the huge space is that of old style, European comfort… which to us also means east coast (Think Berkshire Mountains or the Hamptons.)
The store is packed with battered, white washed furniture, stunning French crystal chandeliers, and oversized pots filled with hydrangeas. The sweet smell of rose permeates the store from the milled soaps, scented drawer liners and yummy candles.
The prices reflect the fancy lifestyle that is being suggested, and while we cant quite imagine spending over $1000 for say, an old painted whicker chair, there is enough here to be inspired. LA.com calls Bountiful "10,000 square feet of lovely French chaos".
