Carini Lang: Handwoven Carpets and Tapestries

There are a few rug shops in the city that sell richly colored Himalayan-style carpets, and Carini Lang is at the top of the heap...

Using only natural dyes (not chemical) and hand-spun silk and Himalayan wool (which has a high lanolin content), these rugs softly shimmer with color while feeling silky soft under your feet. Everyone we've introduced to Carini Lang has fallen in love.

While the prices at places like Dolma are a bit more affordable (at $31-$42 per sq/ft), they offer less variety. Carini Lang is nearly double the price, but offers more sophisticated colorings, patterns and customization. Their collection ranges from animal prints to florals and contemporary.
