Another local store we're embarrassed to admit we've just recently visited is Austin's Collectic Home. A huge warehouse full of modern and contemporary home furnishings, we loved all the vignettes of rooms we saw, and the colorful options were the perfect remedy to a gray winter day. And the best part: it's a local store!
Collectic Home is owned by Joni and Greg Greeson, two people who have been helping Austin residents outfit their homes with style for years. We were familiar with Collectic Home's name, but as mentioned had never made a visit--until yesterday. Over 7,000 feet of showroom greeted us, and we saw bedroom vignettes, living room vignettes, dining room tables, storage, bedding, pillows, art and more. There was a wide variety of manufacturers and brand names available and we even saw some locally designed items, too (like a favorite of ours: Iron Thread Design).
A surprising detail to Collectic Home was all the informative placards placed everywhere. Nearly every piece of furniture had not only the price, but what it was, where it came from, and what other colors/materials it came in. Even the wall colors of certain vignettes had the paint color name on them---in case you wanted it for your own home. The employees were also super nice.
We're excited to have found such a nice, expansive local furniture store. What do you think about Collectic Home?
