Any parent of a young child knows that kids love to help almost as much as they love to mimic their parents. Constructive Playthings is a good resource for educational toys that allow kids to pretend while teaching them to help around the house.

We like the gardening sets, tool kits, and play kitchens, and we've rounded up a few examples (with product links below). In addition to educational toys, the store sells standard crowd-pleasers like cars, trains, and dolls.

Constructive Playthings supplies schools, daycare, and educational centers, in addition to selling directly through online retail. They have two main departments: early childhood and parent/family.

Toys are labeled for age-appropriateness and anything that might be a safety hazard for younger children is clearly marked. (For more information about safety standards, you can click here.)
