Located on the funky section of 4th street between Junipero and Cherry is a sweet little store called Deja Vu. Though not large in size, it's chock full of neat Mid-Century and Art-Deco gems.
At first glance it appears to fall in line with the other vintage stores in the area. While talking with Vincent the owner I soon realize that the little tweeks I see on the floor are due to his French background. There is a reason I don't recognize some of the pieces he has...he routinely sends containers over from France on buying trips in addition to local shopping.
If you can't make it down to the shop you can see most of their line up on their website. They routinely post new pieces on their site. Of couse when we went to visit the site we immediately go to the "past inventory" section as a sort of self torture to see what we could of had, had we been paying attention. On our list: French 60's bar, French coat rack and the Hans Wenger twin bed set [what would we do with a twin bed set? we have no idea] but it's not available, so of course we want it. Check out their wares of course we advise sticking to the available section unless you're a glutton for punishment like ourselves.
