Etched Wood Cutting Boards by Richwood Creations

Store History

  • Founded: 2012
  • Founded by: Brad Weckesser
The beginnings of West Virginia-based Richwood Creations are rooted in cause: in the summer of 2012, woodworker Brad Weckesser was approached to design and manufacture a line of products that would help fund the children's charity Young Life. Since then, the company has been turning out artisan wood goods with a modern appeal.

Together with his wife, Emily (a graphic designer), Brad designs and finishes all of the handmade wares, which include not only cutting boards, but also coasters, cake stands, serving trays, and rolling pins. Many of the pieces are made from reclaimed wood, and most of them can be custom engraved with monograms, names, or even entire cities and states.

Our personal favorite is the tribal design cutting board — though Weckesser manages to make even the ubiquitous chevron pattern look fresh.
