Gary Gibson has been integrated in the design industry, one way or another, for the past 30 years. Studying Interior Design at UCLA, he interned and worked in various design showrooms and a variety of retail spaces. Starting his own firm 25 years ago, Gibson earned valuable accolades and a loyal clientele. Opening his retail showroom on Beverly, he is coming up on 10 years of business with about 2000 square feet of fascinating antiques, eclectic accessories and original artwork.
Gary works alongside Ryan Goodman, Taylor Bauer and Robert Wain, bringing a unique design sensibility to every custom project they work on. Drawing much inspiration from artists like Philip Charaeu, Michelangelo, Mark Rothko and Frank Lloyd Wright, Gary says that he is constantly influenced by his love of nature, textures, wood and metals. His family and his LA upbringing have encouraged this love of nature, which his showroom expresses in its rich earth tones and beautiful pieces that show off the natural decay of antique fixtures and furniture.
From the moment I walked in to Gibson I felt that if you combined the best of all the flea markets, antique restoration yards and estate sales, collecting artisan treasures and original artwork, it would all be here in Gibson.
