It makes perfect sense to us when green shopping and socially responsible shopping go hand in hand.

At the Global Exchange Online Store, the emphasis might be on fair trade goods, but look around long enough and you'll see that most of the hand-crafted items are made from either recycled or sustainable materials. Take this colorful 3 Leaf Bamboo Bowl Set ($85) for example.

Actually, a whole section of the online store is dedicated to "Recycled Products." That's where you'll find this Recycled Glass and Metal Fruit Bowl ($36).

But don't limit yourself to the "recycled" area only -- there are lots of good finds elsewhere. And, as the Global Exchange explains, you can enjoy the shopping spree without guilt because: "The Online Store implements the principles of socially and economically responsible business by operating according to Fair Trade Criteria. So you can shop here knowing that the products you choose are sweatshop-free."

Another nice thing about the Global Exchange Store is that each item you purchase comes with its own story. This amazing Peruvian Chulucanas Vase ($39), for instance, was made by three brothers from the Adanague family in Peru.

But, before you think the store only stocks crafty decorative items, we should probably mention that it also offers an extensive selection of fair trade coffee and chocolate, as well as books, films, clothing, and bath products.

It's a great place for holiday shopping (and you can even request recycled gift packaging for an extra $3.95)!
