It's not easy being green. Or is it? If you are looking for eco-friendly furniture and lighting for your nursery, we have just the place for you. GREENCulture's mission is simple: to promote environmental enlightenment and conservation through the sales and distribution of ecologically conscious products. For example, the legs of this lounge chair, part of GREENCulture's Varsity furniture line for children, are made of recycled steel. You don't have to sacrifice style to go green. GREENCulture also sells eco-friendly lighting solutions, including a large number of whimsical children's lamps, pendants, and sconces. Many of these lamps feature recycled content, such as the Jet Stream Lamp, left, and use compact fluorescent light bulbs as an energy-saving alternative to the standard incandescent. Be sure to check out their ceiling pendants as well - the space explorers ceiling light would be lovely in a child's room, and they also carry a very modern take on the classic halfmoon image seen in a lot of children's design. While some of their children's furniture lines might be a little fussy for our taste, they also carry a nice selection of modern furniture for babies and children. GREENCulture's Quantum collection is lovely - clean lines, golden beech veneer, and space-saving storage under the bed make this a great collection for a small bedroom. What we like best about GREENCulture's online store is that they make it clear exactly why each piece they sell is environmentally friendly. Furniture descriptions include not just the materials used, but a little bit about them - for example, a wooden crib's description adds that it is made of Asian Hardwood, sustainably harvested. Aesthetic appeal and green-friendly, GREENCulture is smart choice for nursery furniture and lighting.
