Store History

  • Founded by: Katherine and Rally Dupps
  • Headquarters: Bali, Indonesia

Not to go all Eat-Pray-Love on you, but Katherine and Rally Dupps' story is one of self-discovery via travel. Katherine (an interior designer) and Rally (an architect) fell in love on a roadtrip through Southeast Asia. They went back for six weeks after their marriage and eventually moved their two children back to Bali, where they started a business making batik textiles inspired by Indian and Balinese prints.

They make and sell brightly patterned pillows, table linens, and fabrics by the yard — everything is a cotton/linen blend that's batiked by hand. They also have a small selection of wall art created by their "resident painter" Putu.

Katherine Rally products can be purchased through several stores in the US, including Lotus Bleu in San Francisco, Guesthouse in Seattle, Armour & Co in Atlanta, The Brass Bed in Denver, and Celadon in South Carolina. Designers and to-the-trade buyers can purchase their fabrics through Nicky Rising in Los Angeles, SARLO in San Francisco, and Studio Four in New York.
