LA Store: Pussy & Pooch

LA Store: Pussy & Pooch

What a busy weekend we had. We spent all of Sunday in historic downtown again, this time participating in Dwell on Design's Downtown Los Angeles architectural tour (photos and post coming later). While exiting one of the units en route, we noticed what initially appeared to be a boutique design and furnishings store. On closer inspection, after also noticing the four-footed clientèle entering and exiting, we realized the shop was actually a pet store of impeccable style...

The P&P Pethouse boutique has all the typical offerings a well stocked pet shop, but takes the concept further...much further...by incorporating amusing touches like this indoor dog potty station next to their self-grooming stations for customers.

Love those feline totes. There's a canine version too.

That's Cosmo, resident guard dog and greeter, walking the grounds by the Pawbar, and occasionally stopping to give dog kisses for free. We recieved plenty.

Each corner of the store expresses an eye for design detail, like the vibrant green wallpaper lining shelves, the giant silhouette gracing the walls and tasteful layout of the whole store that seems just as appealing to those one two legs as those entering on four.

And how many pet stores have an art gallery in back?
