Limn is both store and gallery. Based out of San Francisco, with a second store in Sacramento, Limn carries a huge selection of interesting, Form and function "design driven" furniture for the home and office (think "B&B Italia, Moss, etc).

The name comes from an old English verb meaning to draw or illuminate, with a second more romantic translation:the multicolored shimmer above a body of water that lasts for only moments before the sun sets. That's how special Limn pieces are.

The furniture selection does seem wonderful, although more of an inspiration for those of us unable to afford such detailed pieces.

The 4000sq. ft. gallery has rotating exhibits of contemporary art from all over. Most recently were shows from Jaq Chartier and Sid Garrison. Both have art worth checking out, especially the colored pencil works of Garrison...very cool stuff.

There is an alternate location at 501 Arden Way, Sacramento, CA 95815
