It seems like every week a new modern baby store crops up, but Mini Jake remains one of our favorites. We haven't revisited this store in a couple of years, so we thought it was high time to give it another shout out.
This Brooklyn-based store has good-looking versions of just about anything a new parent needs: strollers, mealtime goods, high chairs, clothes, cribs, and they also have a registry. We consistently check them as a resource for small spaces, since they carry a lot of smaller scale furniture and compact folding designs.
Ohdeedoh editor Carrie bought her crib, the Stokke Sleepi, from Mini Jake. After months of researching the crib she wanted, she contacted a few other stores and found it would take 12 weeks to arrive! At 8 months pregnant, she couldn't wait that long, so she contacted Mini Jake and they ordered it right away and delivered it to her Brooklyn apartment for a small fee—all in time for the new baby! Good customer service goes a long way.
Mini Jake has a brick-and-mortar store in Brooklyn as well as a comprehensive website for online shoppers. They also offer free standard shipping for orders over $100. For more info, click here.
