Mow Rake Sow is a passion project for 30 year old Dan Goshin, a music industry guru who decided it was time to take action after years of walking around Los Angeles, daydreaming about ways to improve homes, neighborhoods and the city overall. Seeing the way landscaping and maintenance was done here was driving him crazy: gas fumes choking the air, debris on cars, sprinklers going on when it just rained, dying lawns, unprofessional workers, bad design, etc. Goshin thought it was an industry that needed someone to come in and flip it on its head. The recession came along, and he was laid off from his job at MySpace. Goshin saw this as the perfect opportunity to get cracking on his concept for Mow Rake Sow. "We waste 850 million gallons of gas caring for lawns." Goshin said. "We use 60% of our freshwater taking care of our lawns. If you don't think that's a good way to use valuable NON-renewable resources, then you're our customer base. It's all about making a positive change in another facet of your home lifestyle
