We make the little shit better. The stuff you have that isn't noticed first, but can't be ignored. We pay attention to it. We argue about it. We work day and night to make the little shit as good as it can be, so when you wear it, you feel like you've got a leg up on the rest of the world.
Nixon products have appeared a few times on Unplggd — their Socket Earbuds, Wooden Headphones, and Trooper Headphones have all gotten shout-outs on the blog. Their aesthetic is a good match for people (ahem...hipsters) who care about they way their personal tech looks, feels, and works.
Not your average tech company, Nixon has their hands in a few different things, from watches and wallets to iPhone cases. Best known for men's watches, they started out in Southern California, got bought out by Billabong International, and have since expanded into markets as far-flung as Switzerland and New Zealand. They've got the whole board-sport look down, and they market to a mostly-male demographic of surfers, snowboarders, and skaters.
The product quality is high, and prices are reasonable for what you get. For instance, their Trooper Headphones have folding hinges, volume knobs, and a fully adjustable padded headband for $50. You can buy Nixon products through their website or through their network of retail dealers.
