The OLY showroom at High Point Market was a nice change of pace from the dark, masculine, vintage look we saw again and again. Located in an old brick building, the space has light wood floors and huge windows that let the sun stream in — it's an approriate backdrop for their collection of sofas, beds, dining tables, and case goods.
New products included the Diego Bed, an iron frame sculpted to resemble tree branches, and the Amelia case goods, a curvy collection of chests and armoires with wood and metallic veneers. The sofas were also standouts — my favorites were the high-back Dakota sofa and the Hanna sofa upholstered in two-tone raffia and white.
Founded by designers Kate McIntyre and Brad Huntington, Oly is based out of Berkley, California. Their products are sold to the trade and to retail customers through their New York flagship store in Tribeca. Retail partners include Jayson Home & Garden
, Mecox Gardens
, and other stores
