Store History

  • Headquarters: Netherlands

The weight of a favorite mug, the smooth wood grain on a bench: it's the simple things that make you smile. Clean, cool, and a bit quirky, Orphan Socks focuses on small crafted wares sure to garner a grin.

Based in the Netherlands, the Dutch design aesthetic is very apparent in the Orphan Socks look: clean lines, light woods, neutral palettes. Though lack of color doesn't mean lack of style: the brass sun and moon trivets are so simple, yet elegant, they'd quickly become a favorite kitchen item. Even something as seemingly inconsequential as a wooden tool to wrap your headphones or cables around is elevated to a thing of beauty.

There's no shortage of humor, either, especially with the bendable Ivy lamp, long enough to spell whatever your heart desires in 8 meters or less, or the 20 hangers wardrobe, literally 20 hangers suspended from black cords and hung from the ceiling. Now, if they just had something to deal with those wayward socks.
