Roses are red, Violets are blue, Valentine's Day is sneaking up...Are you ready?
So we're not poets but we do love hand-written sentiments. If you haven't checked out the Lakeview gem called Paper Boy, now is the time. In a few days, enveloped wooing is expected...
Paper, paper, paper! True to their name, this small shop is stuffed full of cards. Single or boxed, postcards and memo pads - Paper Boy has it all. Besides stationery, they also carry a varied selection of photo albums, frames, and journals. Their merchandise always feels fresh because they often work with local stationers and small-batch presses.
Paper Boy is also tops for crafty supplies and gift wrapping accouterments. They have some of the most to-die-for sheet paper and rolls upon rolls of unique gift wrap. Displayed sweetly in library-specific furniture, their sold-by-the-yard ribbon collection looks so enticing.
The owner of Paper Boy also happens to run Uncle Fun
(located right across the street). So even though PB comes across as more elegant and chic, it's got a few farts and giggles too. The stationery beauty is
intermingled with bits of over-the-top costume jewelry, sexual-position playing cards, recycled tote bags, bacon wallets, and other random treats.
But their focus is on the art of the letter and they mean business. At Paper Boy, you can find something fun and expensive or you can go all out and opt for gilded and spendy. If you can't find exactly what you seek, Paper Boy's helpful staff will consult with you to create it. They offer in-house advice and design. For more formal events (like weddings or birth announcements), they outsource with papyrus masters, like Crane's and William Arthur.
