P.E. Guerin is the oldest decorative hardware firm in the United States, and the only metal foundry in New York City. Started in 1857 by French immigrant Pierre Emmanuel Guerin, the store makes and sells decorative hardware — everything from doorknobs to towel racks, bathtub faucets to drawer pulls — all on the very highest end...
We had known the name Guerin from passing by the building on Jane Street, but had never known what it was about. It is a good New York story. Four generations later, the company remains a family business, now owned and directed by Pierre Emmanuel’s great grandnephew, Andrew F. Ward.
P.E. Guerin is a rare gem. If you own a home and you're looking for beautiful, old-fashioned hardware AND you have the money to make a major investment, this is the place to go.
