By not subscribing to a single era or an overly reined-in aesthetic, what this husband and wife team sell are vintage pieces that inspire, not simply those that have a must-have name attached (though they don't shy away from the best Herman Millers out there either). For new wares, you'll find the quirky alongside the classic, with artists and designers represented both locally and a bit more far reaching (from Brooklyn, North Carolina, etc.); many new designs are made from pre-loved materials, like the leather patchwork pillows and recycled glass candle holders. To top off the intrigue, Finney and Hoffman both re-work vintage pieces whether in need of new hardware, new upholstery, or a simple clean up and tweak. A new line called "in house" includes pieces created by Finney and Hoffman themselves (see hanging pendant lamps and a test tube table lamp above and in our slideshow).
Our highly anticipated visit proved what others have been saying all along:
The selection is ever-changing and ever-engaging.
The owners have a lot to say about whatever you might want to know.
The prices make sense.
