Prairie Collective, a "modern crafts co-op filled with moss-lined trays of jewelry, delicate ceramics, and natural curiosities," is a place where shopping feels like a treasure hunt, reports Sunset magazine. Walking by the storefront two weeks ago on my way to yoga, my attention was immediately caught. A sign outside read: Fall Centerpiece Class - One Spot Left! I was hooked. Ninety minutes later, I returned to the sweet little shop for a quick exploration.
Filled with organic-inspired jewelry, flowers, pottery and small housewares, Prairie Collective is the initiative of three unique crafters—Studio Choo, Magpie & Rye, and Cloak & Cabinet Society—which "all share a love of nature, souvenirs of the past and things that are a little wild, a little undone."
Studio Choo floral arrangements and ceramics adorn the shop's shelves, bringing nature indoors. Passing the storefront now, you'll encounter bulbs of all sizes arranged in the shop's ever-changing window display. I'm so curious to learn what they'll become.
Magpie & Rye curates their collection of jewelry and accessories with an affinity to raw materials and natural designs; they love pieces that remind them of their "ancestry and the history of the Americas." Rounding out the collective by making it feel like an eclectic home, Cloak & Cabinet Society art and vintage home goods add character and intrigue.
Take note of shop hours—though they are only open Wednesday through Sunday, your trip will be worth the wait!
