Featuring an impressive mix of hand-sourced, one-of-a-kind collectibles and antiques running the gamut from giant marquee letters to beautifully restored, late 18th century hammered trays, Sodersfrom’s style palate balances the fine line between humor and sophistication. Featuring original works by local painters like Michael Guy, Jim Rand and Tim Paquette, and silkscreened ceramics by Wanderlust’s Craig Crawford, Sodersfrom also throws his own personal works into the mix. With his custom x-ray lamps, birdie vignettes and shadowboxes, in which he stages scenes using 19th century German figurines set against a backdrop of his own personal photography, Christian Sodersfrom proves that he’s more than just a great collector, but a skilled designer as well.
My personal favorites, both of which I couldn’t resist having for my own, are the vintage compass watches and stuffed ducklings (don’t worry, they died of natural causes).
