Grace of form. We found Klara Borbas years ago in a small pottery studio on Chambers Street and outfitted an entire summer rental with her beautifully soft colored mugs, plates and vases. Then we lost track of her.

We are down to a just a few cups, so we went looking for her again. She has moved to Maine and now shows her work at numerous shows and sells it online at All of her pieces are chip resistant, light and made of high-fired porcelain finished with a soft, matte glaze or a high, shiny finish.

This work is not her latest and she says we can see more soon. She is opening a website - - in a few months, which we'll announce. She can be reached at MGR
