Earlier this week, we found ourselves with some extra time while we were in the LBC (aka Long Beach). We were strolling down Retro Row and popped into our new favorite store, The Vintage Collective. Recently changing over to the capable hands of Amanda Beckmann, we were amazed at the collection the store has amassed.
First of all, if you've never been to Retro Row--you must. A series of antique and vintage furniture stores with a little bit of kitsch thrown in, you won't be disappointed. The Vintage Collective sits at the end of the row standing at 4,000 square feet (yowza). Run as a consignment mall with individual furniture dealers, Amanda tells us that the stock is constantly changing. Specializing in Mid-Century and Danish Modern furnishings, we were amazed at all the shop has to offer. We were also pleased to find out that The Vintage Collective carries original David Weidman 1960's prints which are colorful and unique.
During our visit, we gravitated towards a pair of bright teal atomic couches, Amberina glass accessories and vintage oil paintings. And we could have spent hours visiting each dealers "booth" which were curated to show off their favorite finds. The Vintage Collective is the perfect spot to explore or just stop by if you're looking for that specific furniture piece.
