I first became aware of The Wild Unknown when I came across their Songwriters 2011 Calendar at a store in the East Village. I loved how simple it was, with its beautiful song quotes rendered in delicate writing. (It's hanging above my desk right now.) The backstory of this small company is lovely as well:

The Wild Unknown is a family-run company based in Brooklyn. The prints and calendars are drawn by artist and musician Kim Krans, and screenprinted locally using archival or recycled paper; the prisms are handmade by Kim's mom from materials found on the shores of Lake Superior. They also have a family band and a cabin in the Catskills.
