Anna Corpron and Sean Auyeung of Sub-Studio
"Burden" by Samantha Hahn
Last week we received an email about The Working Proof— an online print gallery and shop showcasing emerging artists. But here's the special part: its mission is to promote both art and social responsibility, as 15% of the sale of each print is donated to a charity of the artist's choice. And not only are these prints really unique, but they're extremely affordable...
The Working Proof was founded by printmakers Anna Corpron and Sean Auyeung from Sub-Studio. They also fun the Sub-Studio blog, "a curated collection of products, furniture, jewelry, architecture and artists that float our boat. Turning that same eye to the Working Proof, [they] aim to build a collection of great, limited-edition, affordable artwork from some of the best artists out there."
The venture is still pretty new, so there are only three prints for sale right now. They range in size from 5x7 to 11x14, and are all $40-$45. You can see all the prints for sale here, as well as what charity that print is paired with. A couple of the charities listed include the Jane Goodall Institute, and the Kids in Need Foundation.
Check out The Working Proof blog for more information on the artists they're currently featuring, as well as news and updates.
