We've got a lot of favorite stores in Austin, but when we are looking for the biggest variety of gorgeous local and international furniture products all displayed in a great-looking showroom, we head to Threshold Furniture, located downtown near Whole Foods. They've recently revamped their inventory and their website, and we love all of their new product offerings.

Names like Moroso, Kettal, Moooi, Foscarini, Kartel, Missoni, Artemide, Diesel Lifestyle, Emu, Glas Italia, Luceplan, Nanimarquina, Maharam, Planika Fires and Geneva Sound Systems are just a few of the companies represented on the gorgeous showroom of Threshold. You'll see some of the best pieces on the floor, but can always look at plenty more in catalogs, and many of these companies offer quick ship options on some items.

If you think you might be overwhelmed by their choices or by your own space, you're in luck: Threshold Furniture & Design staffs an in-house team of professional interior designers that offer complete customized design services. You can use them if you are just trying to figure out what sofa to put in your living room or whether you need help with your whole house. You can check out some of the interior design work they've done in their online portfolio.

Sprinkled around the showroom next to internationally famous furniture styles are furniture pieces by local craftspeople (like an Apartment Therapy favorite: Derek Mizner). We appreciate that we can find such a varied array of different styles and price points in one local store.
