Thybony Paint and Wallcoverings

We did a house tour a few weeks ago and the owners LOVE wall color - you may remember Jessica and Andrius.

Well, Andrius, an artist/craftsman who does decorative finishes (both at home and professionally for t.v. and film) tipped us off to Thybony. He swears by them. He says that they are really helpful and will happily give good advice on how-to and what you'll need.

They have been a family owned business for over 100 years (they celebrated their centennial in 1986). Jim Thybony (he currently runs the business) is the grandson of the founder who opened up his shop in Chicago after emigrating from Sweden, where he apprenticed in the decorating trade.

Thybony carries paint (their own house brands, as well as Pittsburgh, Benjamin Moore, and Pratt & Lambert), faux finish materials, wallcoverings and custom draperies and window treatments.

You can also rent or purchase spray equipment.

We haven't shopped at Thybony yet but Andreas was such a fan we thought we should pass it on...any other Thybony believers out there?
