Certain designers are experts at using art to bring that final level of finish. Trip Haenisch is one of them. He's able to balance scale, color, and all that formal stuff, but — more importantly — he knows how to use content and style to put the punchline in a room.
A giant black American Express card looms above a bill paying station, a white sculptural puppy sits patiently by a fireplace, and a bright red "Danger!" sign points to a seat on the sofa. Subtle visual jokes add another layer of meaning and humor to these well-planned spaces.
Based out of Los Angeles, Trip Haenisch works with clients to create "inventive and personalized designs" for their homes. His client lists includes a long of celebrities — among them, Courteney Cox and David Arquette, Hank Azaria, Christina Aguilera, Edward Norton, and Aaron Sorkin.
