We were a bit embarrassed that we hadn't heard of this great home decor store before our photo shoot for last week's post, Your Rug Rules. When we first walked in, we were knocked over by the gorgeous-looking furniture pieces, accessories and more!Only open for a couple of years, Wendow has already established itself as the go-to-place for gorgeous fine antiques, good-looking reproductions and fun accessories for the home, thanks in part to the leadership of Wendow's two owners, Shannon Dowell and Catherine Wenske, who took the unique name "Wendow" from the combination of the first three letters of each last name. Dowell and Wenske, who also offer interior design services for those clients who need a little extra help pulling it all together, take care in choosing just the right combination of items for Austin residents, making sure the style fits in with residents' tastes and quality expectations.
We just love exploring the showroom. The store was very carefully edited and didn't feel too crowded, yet there was plenty to look at. We enjoyed all the mixing of textures and styles that we saw, and spotted a number of accessories that would have looked great in our own home. Bonus: the store smelled amazing! A strange thing to comment on, perhaps, but this was one of the best smelling stores we've ever been to.
