"Our purpose in being is to provide Columbus, Ohio with a comfortable place to shop for handmade goods, a fun and fabulous alternative to mass-produced madness. You’re sure to find unique little gifts for yourself and your loved ones. If you’re in Columbus, please visit us soon!"
Don't let the pink facade fool you—this store is not your grandma's knitting shop (not that there's anything wrong with that)! Rather than indie craft fairs or an online only marketplace like Etsy, Wholly Craft! is bringing the handmade to you year 'round with their brick-and-mortar consignment shop in Columbus, OH neighborhood, Clintonville.
Wholly Craft! features the usual assortment of cutesy handmade goods: t-shirts, jewelry, home accessories, bags, baby toys, clothes, letterpress stationary and even zines – from over 150 artists, many of whom are local. Prices range from $1 for a button to $100 for a turquoise necklace (though most items tend towards the lower cost spectrum), and all are sold on consignment.
And if you ever get the feeling, "I could make this myself," Wholly Craft! is there to help you with their affordable beginner level workshops on sewing, crochet, knitting, embroidery and more (class fees typically run $12 - $25). They also have a dedicated DIY section of crafting materials such as vintage dress patterns, DIY kits, vintages fabrics and other crafting supplies.
Be sure to stop by one of the many special events including book signings (renowned illustrator Jay Ryan was a recent guest), fashion and trunk shows, live music, and midnight madness sales – you may even get your photo taken with their Holiday Ape. Check out the Wholly Craft! blog to stay on top of the latest events.
