091411-puppet.jpg Do you have a performer at home? Stages and puppet theaters take up a ridiculous amount of space, but this doorway version simply rolls up when through and could be anything from a stage to a doll house or even a cool fort for all those rugged and manly puppets out there.

Cindy of Skip to My Lou featured this super awesome project from Melanie at The Crafty Cupboard. This theater is a great way to keep kids entertained and using their imaginations without taking up a great deal of floor space.

The best part is that it's handmade and could easily be created for kid's holiday or birthday gifts. The possibilities are endless as far as the external design so even if your little man isn't that fond of curtains and a traditional stage, it could be graffitied buildings and the NYC skyline instead. Check out the full tutorial on Skip To My Lou where you can see the simple steps for yourself!
