It's the time of year when everyone seems to get hit with the travel bug. If you are one of the ones lucky enough to take advantage of your vacation time, there may be a subtler way to show off your travels rather than uploading 472 pictures to Facebook.
My Scratch Map from IWOOT (or I Want One of Those) is made with a top layer of gold foil. Once you visit a country, go ahead and take a coin and scratch off that foil like a lottery ticket to reveal the country underneath. What a fun idea for travel enthusiasts!
The map is currently only available in Europe, but we are hoping all the buzz it's been generating on the internet might just get it to the US a bit faster.

Oh my gosh! I love this... Anything scratch off is the best. Reminds me of Willy Wonka's Golden Ticket. Love the idea!

I was so excited, and then you tell me it's only in Europe?! You tease!
So sad. I wouldn't get to scratch off very much yet... THAT would be a tease!
I like the old-fashioned method: Stamps in your Passport.
Or photos framed and hung on a wall. I think this is kinda cute, but not all that meaningful--do you count a plane change in Zurich as having visited Switzerland?
Actually, they will ship to the U.S. for about $13. However, it is out of stock at this moment.
I'll wait for the scratch and sniff version.
C'est magnifique!
