Millions of kids have survived just fine without modifications to the family shower, but we're curious if you have one and find it useful. Unnecessary convenience or modern marvel?
Even if this isn't the most design savvy product ever, it puts the shower at the height of your child without them feeling like they're stuck out in the rain or being pummeled.
Are you into small adaptions like this for your own home? Are they helpful or do they just get in the way? Share your thoughts in the comments.

Like most products designed specifically for children, I consider it a waste--I certainly don't have any memories of being traumatized by a too-high shower head in my childhood . . . do you?
Wow, I was *just* thinking we needed something like this. I mean, it's ugly, but my 2 year old can't take the direct stream of our showerhead (it's too intense, I think we need a new showerhead), so he takes baths (though he loves showers). While no one's traumatized, it would make bathing my 2 year old while 7 months pregnant so much easier!
We use the kind of normal adult shower head that has a hose and can be removed from the wall. Solves this problem as well as washing pets.
Totally worth it. We have handheld showerheads, and they're not expensive at all; installation, five minutes. The jets are adjustable, so there's no intense massage -- gentle rain is there if you need it.
I've used the extendable head for poopsplosions, pets, muddy bodies, etc. It's handy for messes. You certainly do not need one that looks like a kid's toy.
Aww c'mon ... it's cute! Not everything needs to be necessary.
i'm with you 2kidsandus not everything needs to be necessary. looks like a fun/useful option!
Have this same model, a family member found it second hand (never opened) and gave it to us. Several issues: I get soaked every time I take it down, we have just a small shower and the tube fills with water and doesn't drain until you unhook it. Second, the spray seems harder than our shower head puts out. Finally, the attachment for the head is a suction cup, great for changing height or taking out altogether, but I have always had trouble getting suction cups to stay put in the shower and when this one comes unattached while in use it can make a mess.
On the plus side, my son does seem to enjoy it, though I'm glad he only asks for it occasionally.
We have a double shower head; one that stays put at the top, and one on a hose. They can operate on their own or at the same time. We have a super suction cup hook that we hang the hose one at our little guy's height.
Our son is two, and is still too little to be left to his own devices while I take a shower, so most of the time, he chills with his little showerhead while I use the big one. Way easier that giving him a bath every night, too!!
We have one like this:

It's not a cutesy kids one. We originally needed it because my husband is tall! It however is flexible and will work great when my daughter needs a lower shower head as well. I think shower extenders are great, but I'd rather have a more multi-purpose one.
