Showers are one of those small spaces in a bathroom where you can really go wild with color if you want. Because shower walls usually involve tile, color can mean a big commitment, but it can be worth it if you're looking for a strong impact...

I searched forever till I found the cheerful tile I installed in my shower. After living in nasty NY apartments for so long, with their moldy ceilings and clogged drains (I had really bad luck with showers- including my neighbors bath water in my bath -YUCK!- and coming home from a weekend to find the bathroom ceiling on the floor) I wanted something that would make me feel good.

I find myself lusting after that Heath tiled bathroom...
teeze - your shower is so fun!
Can anyone pls explain the first pic with the giant door that doesn't appear to fit the opening to which it is attached? Why is it tiled? Why is it even there?
Now that you say it amed studio your right it does not look right, but I think that the perspective is making it look larger and it is possibly hinged differently then normal doors there is a leak proof seal? I can't imagine this shower not having a closing door. So I feel like it has to fit.
That first shower looks like a tomb!
Shower #1 reminds me of the bathrooms in my dorm facility sophomore year of college. The walk-in shower had a big thick door like that. The sink and toilet areas were in separate "rooms" within the bathroom, so each of my four suitemates could use different areas at the same time. For me, it was a step up from the flimsy shower curtain my freshman year... anyone in the building could have just walked into the bathroom and flung it open (yes, people did this). I was happy to have a shower with a lock on the door. But now I look at the orange shower and I think of a dorm.
Anyone know what poster that is in the first picture?
