If you could lull your baby to sleep, take their temperature, listen in on what they're up to — all with the help from a little bracelet, would you go for it? The Sikker (Danish for safety) does just that and looks pretty great while doing it. Want to find out more?
The Sikker wristbands work in tandem with the base station to send basic biometric data about the baby's condition. We like the idea that it can play mp3 choices that are soothing, but not so soothing that it doesn't allow them to go into a deep sleep. Although it's only a concept in the works (sorry to get your hopes up), we think it's a future product that has a good chance of making the jump to a real world retail market.
Sure there's nothing wrong with leaving some music on and actually going into your baby's room to check on them while napping, but for parents with more than one child running around the home, or even in a daycare environment, we can see this set up being helpful.
It's the work of Jessica Mendoza & Henoc Monte and we're curious to follow its production and release down the line.
Besides clean your kitchen for you, is there anything else you'd like the bracelet to do for you?

Because God forbid you have any contact with your baby.
...and when the kid develops some kind of ADHD, happily give him/her a pill to swallow....
The above comments come from folks who have no parenting experience what so ever.
This is perfect for parents who need a little rest without the constant up and down checking in. (If you are exhausted, how can you be an effective parent/caregiver).
It's a more advanced baby monitor. I like the biometrics. Constant temp checks without having to wake the patient/child/spouse works well for all parties. If it has a alarm for temp increases or other adverse events... especially if they can be user defined would be a major plus.
I hope this sees the light of day.
