we just purchased the same legs last weekend at ikea (with a ss top) nicely done!
It says DIY- but how was it DIYed? More info please!
@sarahsehee It looks like the DIY was setting pieces of wood on top of some Vika Lerberg trestle sawhorse legs from IKEA, and hanging a mirror on the wall.
What fabulous inspiration! For information, the IKEA sawhorse legs cost only 4,50€ each. Going on my to do list!
I really like this but I think I would miss not have drawers.
Where does one just happen upon a chunk of wood like that? I need to make a desk just like this, and I'm coming up short with lumber options.
I'm wil molly, i would really like to know where one gets wood like that... im dying to make a table.
:-))))) Hahaha excellent. How rustic can you get!
Craigslist is a great source for lumber like what was used for this vanity top. Do a search for "reclaimed lumber" or "barn wood". Alternatively, local salvage stores may have something similar. A lot will depend on how much "DIY" you are up for actually doing. This looks like it may be just a 2" x 12" board cut to desired length. It would then involve some sanding and a finish. Water Lox is an easy to apply finish that a DIYer could apply with a brush vs. having to spray on the finish.
I bought these legs recently to make a computer desk but my husband says there is no place to screw the legs to the table top. I would love to know how you attached the top!
