We're always talking about laptop setups and flat screen TVs, but the truth is that Unplggd wants to help make your home life a little simpler for all your gadgets. That brings us to this clean and helpful home renovations tip about the very first power tool that most apartment dwellers add to their hardware arsenal: the power drill.

Before you even think about installing a new pendant light fixture over your dining table, you should realize the mess that you'll have on your hands from drilling into your ceiling.

But of course there's a cleverly hacked solution to any potential problem, and Instructables user bertus52x11 has an easy and nearly free tip for catching all the drywall dust and plaster that will fall.

Just grab any old paper cup (one leftover from a fast-food binge will work just fine if you rinse it out) and first drill into the bottom center of the cup like in the photo above. Make sure the drill bit extends out taller than the top of the cup (cut the cup down, if you need to).

You'll have a fully-functional drill with a built-in dust catcher! Perfect!
