At this time of the year, we use a lot of tea lights. Dropped into glasses, teacups, vases; scattered across dining and coffee tables, tucked into nooks. Their flickering light gives a space a cozy, homey vibe that's just right for this chilly time of year. But what to do with the metal containers once the candles have performed their magic?
The tins can be recycled. We also liked this idea that we saw on atelier-v. It would make a great simple green gift:
- split the container by making cuts at the halfway point
- fold the halves so that they are now back to back
- and voila! A simple, modern photo stand.
You can also use these next to your computer to hold a piece of paper, backed by a piece of cardboard, upright while you're entering data.
