ATLA blogger-in-training, Rebecca, is back today with a coastal gardening resouce:
Outdoor home gardens and landscapes can be a pretty, resourceful and "green" extension of your home. It's easy, however, to forget that water runoff from residential landscapes picks up pollutants that can affect the quality of our oceans and, therefore, our lives. If you do have a home garden or a landscaped area, you can take pride in cultivating your green leafed space while caring for the environment too!
The Surf Rider Foundation has created CPR© — Conservation, Permeability and Retention. It's a way for all of us to design and maintain our gardens so that we can reduce urban runoff.
