Just in time for the weekend! We'd forgotten how we used to while away the endless hours spent in the backseat of our parents' Monte Carlo, staving off boredom, carsickness, and squabbling siblings. Fortunately, this collection of no-cost travel games compiled over at Instructables has brought back some memories. (We're not sure if that's a good thing.)
From classics like I-Spy to instructions for making your own road bingo cards, this handful of games isn't fancy or terribly high-concept. But that's not what you need on a road trip with kids. You need old standards that have withstood the test of time and keep on delivering.
And if these don't work, you can always threaten to turn the damned car around and go right back home.
