- Photographer and artist Ryan McGinness designed this beautiful 4 1/2" x 11" Calendar / To-Do List Tear-Off Pad, which features 365 unique drawings and comes bound and in a cloth box; $24.95.
- The Freakin To-Do List Notepad measures 3.5" x 8.5" and is printed on bright white text weight paper with 50 sheets per notepad. Each pack of three is securely shrink wrapped; $15. Owner Erin Vale is currently on maternity leave and not accepting orders, but you can request a notification of her return.
- If you're unlike me and able to take the leap from paper to virtual, several apps are available to keep you organized and green, and run the gamut from free to hefty monthly service fees for reminding you to stay on task. Lifehacker recently awarded the Best of 2011 iOS To-Do Apps.
- If you need something big that can't be missed, here's two options for wall calendars: one is a DIY calendar grid of chalkboard paint, and the other is a dry erase wall decal for $78.
- Scratch-n-Scroll is a mousepad with an erasable writing surface and plastic stylus. You can erase your notes at any time by flipping up the Scratch-n-Scroll's semi-transparent top sheet (like the childhood toy Magic Slate); $14.99.

Z2 iPod Dock and Wi...
I make a TON of lists in notepad, but I also make my own notecards and notepads from leftover paper from other projects.
If I ever get an iPad (that's definitely on my wishlist), that iOS app seems pretty sweet!
I love the Tasks widget on my Droid 3. You can date, tag, and sort your tasks, and a ton of other things that are beyond my list-making needs. I keep it next to my calendar widget for easy scheduling :)
I keep chalkboard "to do" list and calendar on the inside of my kitchen cupboard doors --since this particular cupboard holds my coffee & tea, I open it a lot during the day. It has worked wonders. Before I tried paper notes , my ipod touch, a pricey white board calendar system that looked messy and ugly on the wall...I moved the white board from my office to the kitchen and back again before donating it. Nothing works as well as my blackboard -- and it's hidden from visitors. Everyone has their own way of keeping track, so whatever works for you is something you have to figure out over time. I came late to blackboard or chalkboard paint, but it has organized me. :)
For virtual note-taking, I like Evernote. It's cloud computing, so you can access your notes from home, work, and on your cell -- any device that you have the program/app installed.
all those post its everywhere are very disturbing.....
We use a chalkboard version of the Calendar decals. Got ours here..

Works so well with the chalk pens!
Thanks Chad! Just downloaded a todo application for my iPad ;)
Thanks for the recommendations. Oh and that picture is epic on so many levels!!
Great post Chad. I still carry crumpled up bits of torn loose leaf paper in my pockets. Dare I mention that I also make lists with boxes and then half slash for half done projects and then full X when the task is completed.
love it................ blinding but love it none the less.
