Sheesh... what's the point of sticking stubby little candles into a wine bottle that will burn for less than a half-hour before melting down the side of the bottle? Get a "wine light" ... essentially a ceramic "plug" with a wick in it that turns your bottle into an oil lamp (www.winelight.com). Same effect, no mess, and burns for hours. And if you really want the "drip down the side" effect, use tapers. (Does anyone remember the ones made specifically for that purpose, which looked white on the outside but had segments of different colored wax hidden inside? By the time they burned down to the bottom, it looked like your Chianti bottle had held weeks of randomly chosen candles... so very bohemian!)

hey -- those goffee seats that look like a plastic cup -- well i just bought the porcelain version of the same thing in regular plastic cup scale. they are delicate, suprising and awesome. the nice people at Lekker in boston assure me that they carry them on their website and they are made by some nutty guys in amsterdam. and they weren't expensive either. $6 a cup. score!
