•Baby, it's hot outside.: We liked the apartment of AT:SF regular Victoria, so it's no surprise we like her taste in floor mats, too.

•Listen to the Cool: Check out vintage pics of jazz great Dave Brubeck's cantilevered mid-century home in the Oakland Hills. Architect David Beverley Thorne used a large sliding door and cork floors "to contain the sound of working musicians."
