Businessweek just covered one of the latest Chicago skyscraping endeavors: Aqua, a new 83-story residential skyscraper to be built just east of the Loop and south of the Chicago River.

Jeanne Gang, principal of Studio/Gang/Architects, is heading up the project, which is expected for completion in 2009. In addition to residential units, Aqua will include a hotel, numerous facilities, and a green roof.
