Many of the bathrooms we see profiled in magazines and websites are downright cavernous. Double sinks, walk-in showers, the odd chair in the corner. It's fun to dream. But what if your bathroom is small. Don't fret. It is possible to have a lovely, inviting and stylish bathroom without a mansion. With a little strategic space planning, built-in cabinets, smaller sinks, lots of mirrors, and a few other tricks, you can make your small bathroom feel less claustrophobic.

5 JL Sprinkelbug. What a great little sink and vanity. And that modern compact toilet is a great space-saver.

7 A small 5x7 bathroom was renovated to make better use of the space. A new rounded sink occupies less space and the entire wall above the sink was made into one big mirror. The medicine cabinet, which once jutted out, was built into what had been a jog in the wall to the right of the sink. Sunset.

The smaller the bathroom, the easier it is to clean.
not necessarily true; in my world, the smaller the bathroom, the harder it is to contort into the nooks and crannies to clean the filth left by my houseful of boys. i hate that i can't reach the space between toilet and tub without sticking my face in the toilet.
Yeah, a small bathroom is only easy to clean if it's laid out well.
I LOVE the little wall-mounted sink in the top photo. Going to have to look into that one...
Thank you for showing small...
I have a 5 x 6 bathroom... and it's badly arranged so you have to come into the room completely and close the door to get into the shower. It BLOWS to try to clean it too. We're saving up for a total gut reno and installing a pocket door and maybe taking out the standard tub and making a walk in shower with continuous tile halfway up the wall to make a wainscotting effect, and maybe a wall mounted sink basin... can't wait.
I like how they did the towels and towel bars in #6.
I have a tiny bathroom and it grosses me out to have to sit next to the toilet while giving my daughter a bath. was just tying to figure out last night if I could knock out a big cabinet and rearrange the room somehow to eliminate that problem. good layout ideas here!
(ideally I'd like the toilet separated by a partial wall or something, but that's going to have to wait til we move houses someday!)
