What is your one favorite element in your small, cool home? One of my favorite things about my apartment is the way the sunlight reaches the living room making it feel light and welcoming. I love working in my home office with the doors to the balcony wide open and the sunlight and the air in my face. Oh... and I've got the worlds best neighbors — an elderly couple who makes sure that there are fresh flowers in the staircase, and that I get the newspaper without it being all crumpled up.

What was one of the biggest challenges you faced in furnishing your small home? I wanted to have a separate room for my home office, which meant I had to cancel the dining room and find an acceptable dining table solution for my small living room. It was also a challenge making my gadgets, electronics and wires an integrated part of the apartment.

I love the blue of those fabulous chairs beneath the windows, but the crooked CD cases on the walls in the first picture are bothering me. I really want to jump through the picture and straighten them out!
This is lovely! I especially like the art on the livingroom wall.
And WOW is your kitchen far away from your eating area! (Well, 'far away' is contextual, I guess, given that this is a smallest, coolest contest!)
Ha! I gave you a thumbs up but I also can't stop staring at that crooked cd rack. Please right it so I can sleep at night, lol.
I'm in love with the bedroom pic!
Having the balcony doors open while working sounds so lovely. I do hope you don't have to spend too much time in that chair though. Perhaps it's deceiving and actually comfortable. I like how spare your office space looks.
He gets points for the Helvetica poster behind his desk, but I'm afraid I'll have to deduct for the self-consciously 'askew' CD shelves.
two compliments:
white walls, and doesn't look boring. a good lesson in judicious furniture and accent selection.
second, I love those tippy CD holders. Just enough to be interesting.
I wonder where they got the Helvetica poster. I'd love that for my studio. I really like this home!
I love that media stand!!
I love the artwork most of all!
littleinkpot: The Helvetica poster can be bought at http://www.helveticafilm.com/shop.html
I really like those CD holders, nice.
there's enough to be enjoyed here for a big thumbs up. nice to see another home with white walls. when you've got nice stuff to show, it doesn't show any better than against whites. pet peeve. ha!
I love how simple and clean the office is and I like how I can't see where the computer wires are, how were you able to pull that off?
I recommend a modern coffee table with a drawer for the remote controls. Other than that - it's lovely.
wow im drooling... love this place!
Only the first image enlarges when I click on it?
Any way to look at the other pictures larger?
This space deserves detail viewing!
That danish modern credenza under the tv is beautiful.
This place is looks very cool without trying too hard.
I love the art... (I'm guessing he's a graphic designer?)
I love your living room and your placement of the plants/flowers. Fabulous!
that second photo is a stunner
So, where does the computer cord come out in your office desk picture? Love the clean set up.
Hygge!
Danish modern in its natural element haha. Really welcoming space.
Thank you Nanni!
I like the that there's an abundance of seating without it looking cluttered
This is my favorite apartment so far. Very nice!
Hello,
I used to work for BoConcept and visited
Herning, Dk. twice, while attending their annual company conventions.
I really enjoy your town and miss the hot dogs so much!!!
Your home by the way, is very cool and I
wish you all the best during the contest.
All wires go through the Belkin hubs installed in the table, and into a drawer that holds the laptop. The wires are mounted underneath the table, and the wide table frame keeps them well hidden.
This is my brothers' apartment so I've got the insight ;)
Flawless.
I really like that large painting hanging on the wall in the bedroom -- who's the artist? Bright, modern, sunny apartment!
s_boston: The painting in the bedroom is by a Danish artist called Anne Aarsland
ayz: The desk and the cd holders are homemade
great living room! who is the manufacturer of those blue chairs? is that a custom fabric?
I bought those chairs at an antique store across the street, but unfortunately the guy there did not know who designed them and I have not been able to find them online.
The fabric is the original fabric, so it's got a few holes here and there, but nothing major, and they are so comfy!
i think it's great he/she used bright colors. it looks like a nice place to come home to. can i please move into your apartment? :D
i'm in love. beautiful windows and amount of light coming in! i love the round table and bright green chairs, it reminds me of a bud opening.
The office looks terribly snobby, the CD shelves and Ikea bed linen really cheap.
I love the balance of color in the third photo.
And the homemade desk is beautiful, congratulations!
