What is your one favorite element in your small, cool home? It is difficult to say what my favorite element in my small house is, but I have to tell you that I love my shoe storage and of course my lamps (specially the floor one). Ah…and of course my wall, where the TV is.

What was one of the biggest challenges you faced in furnishing your small home? I had convinced my self one more time, that you can improve the look of your house and make it funcional with a small budget and a little bit of imagination. Inspiration came of course from web sites like Apartment Therapy, Mocoloco, etc..

Love those boxes with the art in front! Was that a DIY or is there a source? Would love as much info as you can give me on that idea!
Wow - talk about practical style! I love the shoe box art in the entryway, if I actually had an entry, I would totally steal that idea. I also really like the tv wall.
This is fabulous. The first one I've been compelled to log in and vote for. 216 sq ft really is tiny and you've done a lovely job. I love the shoe storage, and even how you thought to fit in multiple rolls of toilet paper in your bathroom. I, too, would like to know how the cover hangs over your shoe boxes.
Love love love it.
I'm pissed because I keep seeing studios smaller than mine (495 sq) that have seperate bedrooms.
Now back to this entry. I can see you have a creative side and it shows in your home. Your bathroom is the sick (nice).
fabulous and inspirational! thanks for sharing!
Please please please give us info on the shoe/box art. I mean, I'm sure I can figure out a way to copy, but as you already have it look so perfect, I'd love to know how you did it!
You have a wonderful home! I love the bathroom best. It's clean-looking and warm and cozy at the same time. Love the swirls on the wall. Love the artwork:) Ok...so I love it all!!!:))
the shoeboxes on the wall is such a neat idea.
Lovely!
thumbs up!
Yay! So good to see someone repping from the Bronx. Love the shoe storage!
Love your place. Can you post the floor plan?
Your home is adorable! I absolutely LOVE your shoe storage. How did you do it?
Love the inventivness ,wall treatments, lamps, colour scheme.... Makes one feel like truly living INSIDE design. No nonsense, only essentials, but very rich in mental (and visual) references, like a poem!
I love it! It is great!
that art work with your flat panel is great!
I want to see more pictures....please! Website, blog, anything? Amazing!!! =D
I love the paint extending from behind the tv! It turns the tv into sort of an art piece instead of just a tv stuck on the wall. Gorgeous & creative! Also, love the art by the front door- it's warm, and has depth and texture.
What paint colors are those in the TV room? I cant stop staring...so cool!
wow, your shoe boxes are so pretty I didn't even realize they were storage the first time I clicked through your photos. I love the wall art by your TV, too. nicely done, from one tiny-studio-dweller to another!
Nice apartment but she should do something... her TV is flying away!
i'm in awe of this space!
I love the tv wall! Amazing use of your tiny place-good job!
Nice vignettes. On the other hand I get absolutely no sense of the apartment. This is a pretty incomplete entry.
I love it
so nice ... Antoine...that's great
i love the shoe storage. incredibly creative idea.
Nice apartment
adorable!
I love the shoe box art in your entryway!!! How did you do that?
Um...that shoe storage is A-mazing! Very, very cool!
The shoe storage is awesome! Very unique.
Congratulation!!!!, it´s an excelent work, simple and magic!!! You are the Winners!!!
Wow the shoe boxes, details please;I like the details around the TV as well so simple but packs a punch.
You deserve Thumbs Up just for having the imagination to tackle 211 sg ft. Plus you did it very well!
I would like to see it in person to enjoy it.
Great job!
Love the shoe box art!
creative genius!
very whimsical - and relaxing. Makes the place feel bigger!
I love your place especially the design on the TV wall. The bathroom seems very soothing and spa like.
It's nice to seen an entry from "The Bronx".
sorry I meant see.
The shoe storage is ingenious! That's definitely one of the biggest challenges in a small space especially when you have big feet like me! I'm a size 13 women and my husband is a 12 men. Our shoes alone need their own apartment!
amazing! and I want your shower curtain! where did it come from?
I agree with TRUMYSTIQUE but I have a feeling it's because the place is so small that it's difficult to photograph.
I adore the shoe storage boxes but I'm afraid I could never limit my shoes to that many! That is a genius solution to the shoe storage problem. I prefer not to wear them in the house, but I'm having trouble figuring out how to hide them.
Do you have an area to sit in this apartment or are you limited to the chair in the kitchen or the bedroom?
love the art work, forget the canvas!! Making good use of the walls. Terrifically well done!!!!
could you explain how you did the shoe storage please.
I adore this place! Like everyone else, I want to know more about the shoe box storage/art. That's great! The tv wall is wonderful too - was that freehand or a decal?
I am in awe of you fitting 2 people in that small space and yet it doesn't look cramped or cluttered. Way to go!
thanks !!!!!!! for all the comments....
tomorrow I'm going to explain the shoe storage ...so be ready...
well done Mile!! I really like ur apartament
I love the art above your bed. Can you please give info on those - I want them!
I love the place! The lamps are super!!!! Where did you buy them?
Can you do this for me? please?
I would like you to do some work at my place. How much do you charge? By hour, by room?
Three thumbs up on the shoe storage!
is that canvas hung on plastic storage boxes? ingenius.
Also - is this a basement?
Nice apartment
Could not get a sense of the apt from the photos at all, but the vignettes were nice. The floor plan is interesting, looks like a real challange...No living area, just kitchen, bedroom and bath, right?
it's really great. congratulations antoine!!! it's a excellent design!!!
I love the place
creative genius!
Love the shoe box
Love the small lamp next to the bed. The bedroom looks very calming and elegant. Nice job.
Love the shoe boxes at the entrance! Goodluck!!
Thank you all for your comments and votes. Here is the answer to some of your questions.
1. SHOE STORAGE
Materials:
transparent plastic shoe box
1/2" foam or cardboard
fabric
stapler and staples
temperature glue gun
drill
2 screws
Step by step:
Cut the foam a tittle bit bigger than the cover of the plastic box on each side, (about half inch).
Cut the fabric 1" larger than the foam on each side.
Cover the foam with the fabric and secure the fabric in place with stapples in the back. Make sure the fabric is tight enough.
Attach the covered foam to the cover with the temperature glue gun.
Make two holes at the bottom of the plastic box and screw it to the wall.
2. The small lamp in the bedrrom, as well as the shower curtain are from IKEA.
antoinedi_muro@yahoo.es, if you need help with anything.
Very clever. I especially love the TV!
I think more people, especially those in small space, should use their walls as an open canvas for painting. It's affordable, doesn't take any space and looks fabulous. The swirl around your tv really softens a boxy shape.
The decorating makes your home look much bigger than the floor plan shows. Great job.
Neutral never looked so good. Awesome!
Too late for me to vote for this one - but you really came up with some creative (as in practical AND nice looking) storage solutions.
And the off-center tv with the painted flair emitting from it completely solves my problem I have right now with "ruining" my space with a tv. Well done!

Wow...amazing!
Clever storage solutions, that's for sure, but I'm still not sure how this holds up against some of the other teeny tiny entries. A wall of shoe cubbies hardly makes for a small/cool space. Where's the living area? And the kitchen? These are the things I want to see. It's hard to judge a home without seeing these crucial elements/spaces.
It seems you don't need my thumbs up since you're doing so well, but best of luck in the contest!
marc, we are talking about a 211 sf small house, so there is not a living area. In the other hand, we do have kitchen, but we prefered take pictures of others areas with more quality.
The design worked with the tv is awesome
Very clever use of space, and as other's have said, nice take on integrating the tv with a design element (versus the costly ways we try to hide them!).
I like your home, but the tv job looks like a creature from the Matrix movies. Scary!
Wow...amazing
great space!
that shoe storage is amazing! and it doesn't have to be shoes...I like!
Love the bedroom so nice I could...just....zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz.....
