What is your one favorite element in your small, cool home? My favorite element is that at 865 sq ft, it requires very little cooling and heating to penetrate the whole house. Its small size forces me to be organized and only consume what I need. Overall, I love the design process and I'm very fond of my space.

What was one of the biggest challenges you faced in furnishing your small home? Moving things on my own! That includes transporting furniture and other big pieces from the store to the house, and I am no Hercules! Having a dolly and lots of back stretch help!

pretty. What's the wall color in the living room?
Yes, what color is that gray?
I love that your place is in Temple City! versus Silverlake or Los Feliz. Great place, love your space, great wall color and your kitchen looks really cozy.
Yay! My mom grew up in Temple City. Such great memories there with my Grandparents (who lived on Broadway). Great place!
Your palette is beautiful and the collar is heartbreaking.
I really like this... especially the slipcovered couch!

Hey, what's wrong with Silverlake and Los Feliz? There's nothing wrong with gay ghettos.
I've never been to Temple City. That's not the "hour of power" city, is it?
I like your living room.
the sunburst mirror composition is awesome
you obviously don't live alone though... or, who left that collar on the rug, hmm? ;)
suggestion: white valances for the curtains in the LR, then the curtains would synchronize more with the skirted couch...? valances are moderately easy to DIY
I really love your color palette with the varying shades of gray and pops of color! Really lovely place!
Can you tell me the paint colors in the living room and bedroom? I've been looking to paint my living room a gray but am still trying to figure out the right shade. Thanks!
I really love the starburst mirror - would you be willing to share where your found this?
I have wanted a skin like you have forEVER! Passed one up at an antique store several years ago for $100.00 and have never seen its equal.... until now. I love your place! It is so peaceful and restful and uncluttered. Love the cool wall color. Love the fixture over the dining table too. Beautiful and simply done with no artifice. LOVE it!
Thank you! The paint color is "Porpoise" 790E-3 by Behr.
To Filthy McNasty: Nothing wrong with Silverlake or Los Feliz! Just that Temple City is deep in the San Gabriel Valley and not always considered a "hip" area. So, it's nice to see it get some much deserved props.
Love the family silhouette photos!
The best detail is the set of silhouette portraits - with the dog as #4! :) Thanks, and thumbs up!
very tasteful - you have that magic touch...lucky cookie!
love this...
This is a lovely home! I love the grays you've used. Would you kindly share what the colour is of your bedroom? I've been on a hunt for a perfect gray and yours looks great!
