What is your one favorite element in your small, cool home? Our unit has 10 ft ceilings and polished concrete floors; we designed our floating bamboo floor to complement the industrial feel of the loft and demarcate the den from the passageway leading to the main living area. We re-used my mom's raw silk curtains for the blinds to add a layer of warmth to the living space. In our bedroom, we added a band of fabric to extend the curtains.
